Interior Design's Best of Year is the design industry's premiere design awards program, honoring the most significant work of the year as well as recognizing designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the globe.
Now celebrating its 18th year, Interior Design's Best of Year has become the ultimate measure of excellence, showcasing what's happening today in every category of design while simultaneously setting the bar even higher for the future.

The deadline to enter is September 6, 2023 (11:59 PM ET).
Every product submission receives huge exposure while voting is live on the Interior Design Best of Year voting site starting October 2 - October 13, 2023.
Submission fee:
- $275 - Early bird - July 11 – August 11, 2023
- $325 - Regular entry - August 12 – September 6, 2023

The Entry Process:
Step 1: Pay now to lock in the discount. Review the rules, provide your contact info, select a category, add your submission to the cart, and complete the checkout process. After payment, the second half of the submission will be available in the "Needs Attention" tab of the left-side menu.
Step 2: Complete the submission details for your entry (outlined in the FAQ below) any time before the September 6th deadline. Just log in to access Step 2 of your application.
Refunds are not available for submissions once they have been formally entered. Submissions made that do not follow specifications are disqualified, and we will, unfortunately, not be able to provide a refund.
Each entrant will receive a 1-year complimentary digital subscription to Interior Design magazine
eligibility
Domestic and international submissions are welcome for all categories.
Product submissions must have been introduced between September 2022 and September 2023. Products/collections may be entered into one or more categories. Products may be entered into one or more categories.
Project submissions must have been completed between September 2022 and September 2023 (with the exception of the "on the boards" category, reserved for in-progress projects). Projects may be entered into one or more categories.
Student product submissions are open to products launched or exhibited, either in conjunction with a class or a (virtual) show. Submitters must be graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in accredited design programs globally. Student submissions have a dedicated submission form HERE.
Eligible product designs include but are not limited to: Accessories, Architectural Products, Fabric, Furniture, Kitchen & Bath, Lighting, and Wall Covering.
Products and Projects that have been previously awarded or published are not excluded from entry.

What information will I need to enter?
To submit a PRODUCT entry, you will be asked for the following information:
-your contact information
-product/category name and description
-product/collection introduction date
-manufacturer information
-1-3 high-resolution product images (minimum 350dpi, JPEG format)
-link to product video (optional)
To submit a PROJECT entry, you will be asked for the following information:
-your contact information
-official project name, location, and description
-project press release/documentation
-size and cost per sq. ft. (cost will not be published)
-project completion date
-design firm information
-8-10 high-resolution project images (minimum of 350dpi, in JPEG format)
-link to project/walkthrough video (optional)
How many entries can I submit?
There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit. Each entry can be submitted to one category at a time. If you would like to submit the same entry to additional categories, you will have the option to duplicate your entry at the end of the form. If you would like to duplicate an entry that has already been submitted, you can go to your completed entries under "My Account" and click "copy".
How does the 2-step entry process work?
Step 1: Review the rules, provide your contact info, select a category, add your submission to the cart, and complete your checkout. After payment, the second half of the submission will be available in the "Needs Attention" tab of the left-side menu.
Step 2: Complete the submission details for your entry any time before the September 6 deadline. Just log in to access Step 2 of your application.
Can I save my entry and return to it later before I submit?
Yes, you may begin your entry, save, and revisit it at any time. To access your in-progress entries, go to the "my account" link on the top right-hand side of the page. You will find a menu on the left with "My Entries".
Can I duplicate my entry?
Yes. If you would like to copy over information from one entry to a new entry you may use the checkbox on the last page of the entry form. You may then make changes to the entry copy or enter the same submission to additional categories.
Can I edit or change my entry once it is submitted?
If you need to make a vital change to a submitted entry, please email awards@interiordesign.net.
How will I be notified if I am a finalist or winner?
You will receive an email if your product or project is chosen as a finalist in November 2023. This email will be sent to the contact email address used on the entry form.
2023 winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony hosted by Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen. Further details on the 2023 Best of Year Awards ceremony will be announced at a later date.
A list of the 2023 winners and honorees will also be published on InteriorDesign.net following the awards ceremony.
How are entries selected?
Product entries will go into a public product gallery and will be voted on by the A+D community from
October 3 - October 13, 2023. Results are reviewed and finalists are determined by an Interior Design editorial panel.
Project and Student entries will not be subject to public voting but will be judged by an Interior Design editorial panel.
Am I allowed to promote my entry on social media to encourage more votes?
Yes, we will provide a digital seal for you to use in your marketing efforts. You are encouraged to promote voting through your marketing channels.
