Product/Collection Name: Here and There Collection

About This Product: The debut collaboration between Duluth-based outdoor furniture brand Loll Designs and design studio Argenta Park, Here and There, is rooted in a uniquely American design legacy, one that connects pioneering work in environmental stewardship with Loll’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and appreciation for the great outdoors. With an expertise in reinvigorating classic designs, Here and There brings together a deep respect for the past with a refreshing, sustainable take on outdoor design.

The collection takes inspiration from the “Leopold Bench,” a simple wooden bench designed by early 20th-century American conservationist Aldo Leopold. Leopold’s belief in the interconnected relationship between people and the land became foundational to modern environmentalism, and his bench embodied that philosophy at its most elemental: a humble place to sit, observe, and experience nature.

Rather than simply recreating the original, Argenta Park and Loll Designs reconsidered its distinctive construction for how people live outdoors today. The design retains the archetypal angled frame and open-backed character while introducing improved contours, angles, and surface area for greater comfort during extended sitting. Its open back support also encourages multiple ways of using the seat: sit traditionally facing forward or turn around and lean into the backrest, creating a natural perch for conversation, reading, birdwatching, or simply taking in the landscape from a different perspective.

Manufactured in the USA with partially recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE), along with stainless steel and aluminum supporting the frame and legs (painted and color-matched to the HDPE) Here and There enters a prestigious category of American sustainability in concept and in practice, manufactured with the strength, durability and aesthetics Loll is known for. The collection includes the original bench design as well as a dining chair fashioned with the same structure and can be paired with the Here and There Dining Table, available in 3 sizes, including a square and two rectangular options.

Whether placed in a garden, dining terrace, or public park, Here and There offers a new way to engage with the landscape—transforming an American design classic into a durable, contemporary expression of environmental responsibility. In carrying this tradition forward, this collection marks an important milestone in Loll’s journey to embody what it means to be a sustainable product, process, and company in North America.

With a core mission to inspire others to appreciate the outdoors, achieving zero waste is essential for a better, sustainable world for generations to enjoy, and why sustainable manufacturing and community efforts have been a part of Loll’s DNA since day one. A proud member of 1% for the Planet since 2008, Loll has since achieved more, receiving the distinctive TRUE GOLD certification in 2025, awarded by Green Business Certification Inc., the world’s leading independent sustainability and health certification body, and is Cradle to Cradle Certified BRONZE™ for 85% of their product line. With these efforts, Loll Designs demonstrates a commitment to leading sustainable manufacturing right here in North America by shifting to circular thinking and prioritizing processes, operations, and actions to reduce waste and resources throughout their system lifecycle.
