Product/Collection Name: Rounded Corner Brass Flat Arch Mirror TV/Contour Series

About This Product: Interior designers work in a discipline built on intention. Every material, sight line, and proportion is chosen to serve the room. Yet the television is often the unintended consequence of modern living that finds its way into curated spaces. It sits as a fixed black rectangle, disconnected from the architecture and composition around it, something every element in the room must work around. That is what Reflectel’s Mirror TV Collections were created to redefine, giving designers a new vocabulary for making technology part of the architecture. In this project, the Contour Brass Metal Rounded Corner Flat Arch, precisely echoing the client’s stone flat arch, does just that.

The Reflectel solution is technology designed to disappear. It allows the television to become two things, a mirror and a television, so a designer never has to choose. This Reflectel Mirror TV was framed in bespoke brass with a sleek 1" face and a sumptuous 4" radius Rounded Corner Flat Arch, then set from the surrounding stone with a precise reveal. The portion of the glass extending beyond the television was back-painted to continue the mirror surface, allowing the entire arch to read as one complete mirror when the television is off. The frame intentionally matched the fire cabinet below, making the television read seamlessly as part of the room rather than a separate object.

Technology that’s elegant yet simple. Off, it's a mirror. On, it's an 8K TV.

This is what Reflectel makes possible for designers and homeowners alike: a television experience without compromise to their design vision. For this project, its materiality was considered with the same care as the stone and metal beside it, a finishing touch that enhances and completes the aesthetic of the entire space. The Optical Quality 1-way, Water White Dielectric Mirror Glass is what makes the transformation possible, preserving the clarity of the 8K transmission while maintaining the mirror when the screen is off.
Reflectel worked with one of our top AV integration partners. Audio Command Systems engineered the sound system, incorporating Amina Sapphire invisible speakers paired with a discreet in-wall Amina ALF hidden subwoofer, delivering high-performance audio while maintaining the space's pleasing aesthetic. Reflectel provided the turnkey, plug-and-play Mirror TV solution, fully integrating the Samsung QN90F state-of-the-art 8K television behind the custom mirror. The Mirror TV was mounted on a Future Automation PS80 articulating wall mount, allowing for accurate positioning and access while maintaining the clean integration.

Our Rounded Corner Flat Arch in brass is a new material expression of the Contour Collection. Every detail from the precise radius to the 1" narrow brass profile and calculated reveal was developed specifically for this Fifth Avenue apartment across from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, allowing the Mirror TV to read as part of the room rather than a separate, conspicuous piece of black plastic and metal technology.

The result is technology that is hidden, seen only as part of the design vision, allowing the eye to see the room, and the TV only when wanted.
