About This Product: Bucolique is designed after a 17th-century tapestry that has been reimagined and revived through a contemporary lens. This large-scale, panoramic wallcovering depicts an idyllic scene in which two elegant swans take center stage. The panoramic composition is rendered on a richly textured textile, giving it the tactile presence and depth of an authentic wall tapestry through Arte’s signature blend of tone, texture and technology. Bucolique is Arte’s ode to the magnificent tapestries and sumptuous wall hangings that adorned the interiors of castles and manor houses from the 14th to the 18th centuries. These hand-woven artworks depicted not only mythical scenes but also everyday life among the traditional upper classes. They brought warmth and color to grand rooms and often served as captivating conversation pieces for guests. Bucolique continues that tradition today.
