About This Product: Homage to the Square is a porcelain tile collection inspired by Josef Albers, a leading twentieth-century modernist artist and educator. Mutina created the collection in collaboration with The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. Homage to the Square transforms Albers’ theories into unique porcelain surfaces that invite designers to experience color, light, and form as active and ever-changing. The line explores perception and spatial relationships, drawing from the tonal depth of his original series, which are translated into a 6"x6" format. Homage to the Square is available in seven colors and two unique surfaces—Dot and Dash—an interplay of matte and glossy finishes. When combined, five monochromatic shades create depth and architectural precision. Homage to the Square is a testament to how art can become tile, inviting designers to create bold spaces with geometrical forms and color.
