About This Product: The Anemon collection celebrates a seamless blend of design heritage and modern aesthetics. A vibrant take on an original artwork by influential textile designer Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg, Kasthall’s Head of Design for more than 30 years, the blooming Anemon rug collection invites nature into the home through its organic vitality and saturated hues in three colorways and two standard shapes – rectangular and round. The Blue version stays true to Ullberg’s original vision and uses 20 different color blends and over 30 yarn colors, creating six tones for the leaves and five for the pistils, while the Coral and Lilac colorways are contemporary reinterpretations created by the Kasthall Design Studio. Anemon takes its name from the beloved flower, admired for its delicate beauty and graceful, slender stem, blooming with the first signs of Spring. The contrasting patterning and use of color and design are deeply rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and quality – all values that continue to define Kasthall today. The transformation of Ullberg’s artwork into a beautifully crafted rug not only pays tribute to the designer but also ensures her elegance, creativity, and legacy will live on. Hand-tufted at Kasthall’s Kinna, Sweden factory, Anemon is made of pure wool blended with linen for a melange effect and features sophisticated bouclé outlines in wool and linen. It’s the kind of quality base that allows the pattern to breathe and become whatever the designer wants it to be and resilient enough to last beautifully for generations.
