A collaboration between VP of Design & Product Strategy, David Kitts and Designer, Paul Marr-Hilliard, the Chrysalis was imagined as “a rough piece of coal becoming a precious diamond.” The Chrysalis 1-Light Crystal Pendant is a low-voltage fixture that features a single handcrafted faceted glass crystal suspended from a small round canopy. A thick, clear layer of glass is encased in an outer cocoon of hand-blown, colored glass (matte black or matte white). Two thick layers are blown into a mold. After the initial shape has been created the outer layer is removed through an artful grinding and hand-polishing of the glass facets, like a gemstone, to reveal the hidden inner crystal clear layer below and is lit from within.

The Chrysalis Collection brings a unique design to market, with a dozen new fixtures, including options in matte black or matte white, large or small blown glass shades. From a low-voltage wall sconce, with an adjustable drop-height, to large multi-port pendants that vary widely in configuration, the highly-customizable Chrysalis Collection makes a statement in any space.
