Description
Nebula is a modern, outdoor lighting collection conceived from a collaboration between global design firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Italian lighting manufacturer Neri. Venezia, over four years in the making, is the latest addition to the collection. It is a dynamic and polychromatic urban luminaire that complements both historical and contemporary settings. The design is an homage to the historic lanterns of Venice, Italy which feature rose-colored Murano glass. Nebula Venezia integrates an RGBW LED within the luminaire head. This modern adaptation allows the light to produce not only the signature rose hue of Venice’s historic lanterns, but also millions of other colors as well as functional and tunable white light. Endlessly adaptable, Nebula Venezia allows for dynamic displays of color to promote an event, holiday, or brand, or to give an identity to a campus, neighborhood or region.

Similar to the original Nebula fixture, Venezia features a kit-of-parts design that can be incorporated into any project, from singular moments to ambitious, large-scale lighting plans. It is composed of a 4-inch diameter functional luminaire in matte silver encased in a 6-inch diameter scored acrylic cylinder. The polychromatic LED is concealed at the top of the cylinder. There are four pole height options (15’ - 24’) in two diameters (4”, 6”). The supporting components come in a spectrum of colors and finishes, including pure white, white aluminum, gray aluminum, jet black, moss green, and the proprietary Neri gray. Nebula Venezia can accommodate banners, planters, cameras, motion detectors, wi-fi, data collectors and power. It can also be incorporated into a smart city system.
