Cooper Lighting Solutions introduces a new way to manufacture lighting products using 3D printing technology, which allows for beautiful designs, textures, and shapes that are distinctive and adaptive. Shaper PrentaLux means Printed Light.
Aesthetics are driven by the designer. Designers can select from a series of 20 different textures and from over 18+ neutral and calming colors. On premiere projects, designers can create a shape and design a texture within the guidelines of the proprietary 3D printing capabilities — innovation at the hands of the designer.
This decorative collection initially consists of 16 lamp-based products for hospitality, and 4 integral LED products for performance-based decorative lighting, with new collections emerging periodically. Products range from 8" to 12" in height and diameter to about 16" x 16" x 16". There are four color temperatures at 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K at 90 CRI.
Shaper PrentaLux products are made with FDM printers using proprietary filaments and software for Cooper. The flexibility of 3D printing enables designers to get these products in faster turnaround times of days or weeks, not months or years. They are a polycarbonate base, for now, moving to a biofilament base in the near future. These products comply with the Buy American Act (BAA) and are manufactured in the United States.
The ability to influence the shape and the texture is what makes this a unique product series. This is design + technology at the customer’s finger tips to create what comes next…
