Like the rest of the AT 187 Range, the new AT Mesh 187/71 Range is equipped with Wilkhahn’s patented Trimension® technology, which combines the auto-centering suspension of the seat, backrest shell and 3D movement capabilities with a synchronous adjustment system – users simply sit down, adjust the seating height and the chair does the rest. The self-centering suspension of the seat shell ensures the body maintains its center of gravity, regardless of the posture adopted or the movement made; “free-to-move” capabilities encourage well-being, health, creativity, and productivity, while maintaining the body’s center of gravity.

The [new] breathable mesh backrest also provides good airflow, creating an ergonomic and comfortable seating solution. 80% of the mesh on the backrest frame of the new AT Mesh 187/71 Range is made of recycled PET bottles, for which it gained Blue Angel certification — the ecolabel of the federal government of Germany, which sets high standards for environmentally friendly product design and has been a reliable guide for sustainable consumption for over 40 years. Mesh fabrics or knitted fabrics made of durable synthetic fibers (like those used for the AT Mesh task chair) are particularly efficient as there is virtually no production waste; the contours are created by special patterns, so cutting large rolls of fabric is not necessary. Piping and deep top stitching guarantee that the upholstered sections remain comfortable, and also sophisticated in appearance. Alongside the tried-and-tested principles of durability and quality, these innovations ensure that Wilkhahn products continue to be exemplary when it comes to the consumption of resources.
